Peckish ("Peckish", "we", "us", "our") is a food food directory for Trinidad & Tobago, available at getpeckish.app. It is a product of Webitt Digital Agency, a business operating from Trinidad & Tobago. a) Account data
When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you claim a business listing we may also collect your name and the name of the business you are claiming.
b) User-generated content
Reviews, ratings, spot submissions, and edits you contribute are stored and associated with your account.
c) Saved spots and favourites
When you bookmark or favourite a listing, that association is stored against your account in our database.
d) Recently viewed listings
A list of recently viewed listings is stored locally on your device (browser localStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
e) Location data
The "Near Me" map and directory distance features use your browser's Geolocation API. Your coordinates are used only within your browser to sort and filter listings that have already been downloaded. Your location is never transmitted to our servers.
f) Technical data
When you visit getpeckish.app, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) may log standard request data including IP address, browser type, and page visited. We use this only for security, uptime monitoring, and abuse prevention. We do not currently run any analytics tracking scripts.

If you contact us by email we retain the content of that communication to respond to and resolve your query.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.
We use the following third-party services to operate Peckish:
Restaurant listing data is sourced from Google Places API and community submissions. This data relates to businesses, not to individual users.
We use cookies only for session authentication, set by our auth provider (Supabase). These are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be opted out of while using an account.
We do not set advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days of the request, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
User-generated content (for example public reviews or submissions) may be deleted or retained in anonymised form (no longer linked to your account or identity) after account deletion, where permitted by law and where technically feasible. If you need specific content removed, mention it in your deletion request.

Note: account self-deletion is not yet available in the app interface. Please contact us at privacy@getpeckish.app and we will process your request manually.
Peckish is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at privacy@getpeckish.app and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Peckish after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
